If using Windows 10/11, and you have the Windows Store, you can install the codecs from this site:
Windows Media Foundation Codecs
If you are using Windows Server, then the above will not work. Use an alternate image viewer, such as ImageGlass.
Note that Windows Server 2016 will not work with ImageGlass version 9. Use version 8.
